As we are getting busier every year with fundraising events, our own and stalls at other events, we really needed to find some new members willing and able to take on some of the organisational responsibilities and I am very happy to say that two of the newer members of our group have stepped up to the challenge.
We now have a joint coordinator who is working alongside myself to organise events and stalls. Selma Rauf has been a supporter of Animals Asia for many years and is already working on two events to take place later in the year.
Elle Haring has taken on a lot of the admin and is now updating our events page on the website and Facebook page, and is also working on another event so watch this space! 🙂
Other key members of our group are Yvonne Paul, Annie Walker, Mariachiara Butt, Hilary Golding, Amanda Lynch, Maja Kominko (also new and working on getting more talks for us in London), Ness Tee, Lucy Williams and Liz Floyd – in no particular order.
We are always happy to welcome new members, whether you have a lot of spare time, or only the odd day or couple of hours. We always need people to man stalls, make items for us to sell on stalls, organise events or help in any way you can think of.
