Creatures of the Night Safari on Wimbledon Common

Our Creatures of the Night Safari on Wimbledon Common in aid of Animals Asia is fast approaching and we still have a couple of places left.  This is a fabulous guided walk by Rachel Holmes, an ecologist and volunteer for Animals Asia, who will give us a fascinating insight into the lives of bats on Wimbledon Common and other nocturnal wildlife.

We are meeting at the Windmill car park at 8.30pm on Saturday 31st August where we’re hoping that one of the rangers will be able to give a brief talk about the common before we set off on our mini safari.  We had very positive feedback last year and we’re sure this walk will be just as exciting and informative.

The registration fee is £10 and we are suggesting a minimum sponsorship/donation of £20.  Your registration fee covers this event’s costs, while your sponsorship money or donation directly helps the animals you care about.

You can either book and pay online here or complete the form below if you would prefer to pay by cheque.  We can then send you the address to post the cheque to.  Please note that the online booking is subject to a small booking fee.

Creatures of the Night Safari – 16 September 2012

This year our Wimbledon Common Walk for Freedom is a little different, taking place at dusk and giving a rare opportunity to observe some of London’s bat species, and learn more about them and other inhabitants of the common.

The walk will be led by a bat expert with a bat detector, and we will have the opportunity to discuss our observations after the walk when hot drinks and snacks will be available for anyone needing to warm up.

The registration fee for this walk is £10 and the suggested minimum sponsorship/donation £25.  The registration fee will cover the cost of the event and the sponsorship money or donation directly helps the animals you care about.

Registration will be at 7.15pm at the Windmill on Wimbledon Common.  Due to health and safety reasons numbers for this walk are limited to 20.  Well behaved dogs are very welcome but as we are looking for other wildlife as well as bats we would ask for dogs to be kept on a lead.

To reserve your place(s) please complete the form below or you can register and pay online here.
