A very successful night for our Ronnie aka John!

We held our second Octobear Festival at the Coach and Horses in Soho tonight and what a wonderful night it was!  A huge success again and a full house.

Thanks to the kind generosity of the landlord, Alastair Choat and his daughter Hollie 100% of the night’s takings are going to the bears again and we have reached our target for Ronnie aka John, our bear in Nanning! The night raised over £1,000.

Amanda gave a very interesting talk about working with the rescued bears at Animals Asia‘s sanctuaries and also gave us an update on the bears at the now defunct bear farm in Nanning, where the bears are being cared for by Animals Asia until they can move into their new permanent home.  Their lives are already a million times better than they were with healthy food, a constant supply of drinking water and lots of showers, and of course their paddling pools.

London’s Octobear Festival is back!

Following a very successful event last year, we are holding our second Octobear Festival this year at the Coach and Horses Soho, London’s only vegetarian pub.

Come and join us to raise a glass or two to the bears and their FREEDOM!

Tuesday 6 October, 7.00pm – 10.00pm
Coach and Horses Soho, 29 Greek Street
London W1D 5DH

Cost: £30 per person – includes a 3 course vegetarian or vegan meal and a glass of wine

Enjoy delicious food, try your luck in our raffle and learn about work and life at Animals Asia’s China Bear Sanctuary from ex-bear manager Amanda Hogan.

100% of the profit will help Animals Asia with the rehabilitation of the remaining 124 bears at the ex bear bile farm in Nanning, China by helping us adopt one of them, Ronnie aka John.
