November is National Novel Writing Month and we have just the thing for you – a writing workshop led by Heidi Stephenson with 99% of the proceeds going to Animals Asia’s Peace by Piece campaign! You’ll be ready to join and maybe even win the online competition next year.
Saturday 29 November 2014, 10.30am – 5.30pm in Queen’s Park, London
They say we all have a novel in us, so why not have a go at writing yours? In this creative writing workshop you’ll be looking at:
What makes a good novel? How and where to find story ideas. Creating memorable characters. Writing dialogue. The importance of setting. Story structure. And overcoming the dreaded writers block.
No previous writing experience is required. Come and have some creative fun!
Heidi has been writing for the past 20 years, as well as working as a TV producer. She has published a book on playwriting (Rage and Reason: Women Playwrights on Playwriting, Methuen), has written 2 stageplays, 3 screenplays, 3 radio dramas for the BBC, and most recently, a novel. Her teaching experience includes work for the Arvon Foundation, Exeter Phoenix and Hypatia Trust.
The cost of £75, or £65 for concessions, includes a vegan / vegetarian lunch. Similar workshops in London are between £70 and £80 without lunch and as Heidi is doing this for absolutely nothing 100% of the proceeds will go to the bears.
Funds raised will go towards our Nanning Bear Fund and help directly with Animals Asia‘s conversion of the bear farm into a sanctuary.
Places are strictly limited, so please book early.
To book your place, please complete the form below and indicate how you wish to pay. Online payment can be made via our JustGiving page, or if you prefer to pay by cheque we’ll send you details by return.
As the location is a private residence the address will only be sent out with confirmations.
