Merry Christmas from two very special Bears

Weihnacht-2015

Our Ronnie aka John and Kleopatra, who also lives in Nanning, would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas!

Like our girl Ronnie aka John, Kleopatra lives in Nanning and her adoptive mother Monika has been a supporter of Animals Asia in Germany for 12 years.  Both girls have come a long way since their care has been taken over by Animals Asia and all the bears are celebrating Christmas in Nanning too this year.

It has been an incredible year for Animals Asia with many challenges but also some great milestones, one of them being the end of bear bile farming in Halong Bay.

We will be supporting Animals Asia all the way UNTIL THE CRUELTY ENDS and hope you will all be with us.

Wishing you a wonderful Christmas and New Year, from all of us at the London Animals Asia Support Group as well.

A huge thank you also to everyone who has helped us so far with our fundraising for Ronnie aka John’s adoption.  We are over half way there and are hoping for an even better fundraising year next year.

Here’s a little video of our girl in Nanning foraging for treats in her den, looking very healthy and rather content.

I can’t wait to see her on grass!!!! That’s what her adoption fee will help Animals Asia achieve – a new, beautiful sanctuary in the lush green mountains.

We look forward to seeing you at our stalls and events next year.

If you’re in the London area and would like to get involved with our group, please get in touch

Another very successful event for the bears

Our writing workshop with Heidi Stephenson last Saturday was a great success.  I think this comment from one of the participants sums up what everyone said at the end:

“I really found Heidi to be a really good teacher, and the whole day was really fascinating and very thought provoking.
Please pass on my thanks to her for making it such an interesting and interactive day.”

Having the workshop in a private house made it more relaxed as well and Yvonne provided an absolutely delicious home cooked lunch for everyone.

The event raised £525 for our Nanning bear adoption, helping Animals Asia with the conversion of the bear farm in Nanning into a sanctuary.

A massive THANK YOU to Heidi and Yvonne for making it such a success and to the participants for choosing our workshop.

Heidi provided her services free of charge and refused to accept travel expenses, and Yvonne donated lunch and drinks, so 100% of the proceeds goes to the bears!

Thank you and bear hugs from Ronnie aka John 🙂
